Engaging with the community at the Open Systems Conference in Japan
At the International Conference on Open Magnetic Systems for Plasma Confinement in Tsukuba, Japan, our team—Rickard Holmberg, Robin Dahlbäck, Kristoffer Lindvall, Katherine Dunne and Per Niva—came together with the global community of scientists, engineers and innovators working toward one shared goal: making commercial fusion energy a reality.
The conference is the largest of its kind—the place to be to gain insights into what’s happening within the open systems community, as all key players within the field gather to share their status, experience, and knowledge.
“Engaging with peers in this community is rewarding on so many levels. You gain fresh perspectives on your own experiments, gain insights from others, and feel the collective drive. Everyone in this community is truly passionate about making advancements towards commercial fusion energy.”
We’re proud to be part of this puzzle, bringing our piece to the table. During the conference, we held three presentations around our NOVATRON concept and experiments. We had invaluable discussions about our experimental and conceptual roadmap, and engaged in discussions around what works, what doesn’t, the challenges to expect, and how to overcome those.
